The HD 12-A MK5 is equipped with a 1400W peak, Class-D digital amplifier, which drives 1000W into the 12" woofer and 400W into the 1", titanium compression driver. The speaker delivers a frequency response of 45 Hz to 20 kHz with a peak SPL output of 130 dB, and wide, 90°H x 60°V coverage angles. The integrated DSP manages the loudspeaker processing, including crossover and EQ, soft limiter, and dynamic bass boost. Phase and amplitude are corrected using proprietary FiRPHASE technology conceived for delivering a natural and transparent sound, with a balanced stereo image.

Powerful Class-D Amplifiers

RCF's Class-D power amplifier technology packs huge performance operating with high efficiency into a lightweight solution. D-Line amplifiers deliver ultra-fast attack, realistic transient response and impressive audio performance. The amplifier features a solid mechanical aluminum structure, which not only stabilizes the amplifier during transportation, but also helps the fan-less heat dissipation. All the D-Line amplifiers present SMPS power supply section in order to produce maximum output and minimum transportation weight.

Highly Defined Performance

The cabinet shape makes it easy to use the speaker for stage monitoring. Two M10 threaded inserts are available for optional mounting hardware, making the speakers perfect for use in wall-mounted or flown install applications.

In/Out Connectors

The amplifier presents both XLR In/Out connectors and a 1/4" input for maximum connection versatility.

Switchable EQ Mode

A switchable EQ Mode makes it easier to select among two different equalization presets:

• BOOST: Extended response switch that slightly emphasizes the bass response for playback music and low volume applications
• FLAT: Linear response switch, when the speaker is used to amplify a live mix.

The amplifier has a built-in limiter circuit to prevent clipping or overdriving the transducers.

Mic / Line Switch

A useful Mic/Line switch helps to adjust the input sensitivity. When used for speech, the [Mic] setting allows using a microphone directly with the speaker. Set the selector to [Line] when using the speaker for live music or playback.

Volume Switch

An easy-to-reach volume knob on the back allows setting the overall volume of the speaker according to its application.

Rental Proof

• D-LINE cabinets are molded on a special polypropylene composite material designed to dampen down vibrations, even at maximum volume settings. From molding to the final texture, D-LINE offers the maximum reliability and strength for use on the road. The reflex port has been resized to offer better efficiency.

• The RCF HD 12-A MK5 features 3 ergonomically designed forged handles with rubber handgrips, 2 on the sides, and one at the top. At the bottom, a rugged steel pole mount has been installed in all models. The new cabinet shape will allow every D-LINE model to be used as it is, standing on a pole, or for stage monitoring. Two M10 threaded inserts are provided for optional mounting hardware in installed sound applications.
