Designed to complement the ART-Series or any full-range speaker, the RCF SUB 8003-AS MK3 is a professional 18" high-powered active subwoofer well suited for bands, DJs, clubs, touring companies, and rental houses.

The subwoofer's integrated Class-D amplifier delivers 2200W of peak power to the 18" driver, which offers a frequency range of 35 to 120 Hz with a maximum SPL of 135 dB, making it great for highly demanding applications. Rear-panel controls include presets, crossover frequency, and polarity selection, and cardioid and output delay settings. The rugged, tour-ready, all-wood cabinet with scratch-resistant polyurea coating is stackable and lightweight, ensuring quick setups and breakdowns.

• The 15", 3.0" voice-coil magnetic-circuit topology is capable of delivering the highest balanced level of performance in three specific areas: maintenance of a consistent high-integrity magnetic flux gap, exceptionally low distortion, and efficiently integrating the magnetic circuit in a minimum weight design.
• The T-pole design optimization generates the minimum amount of flux modulation in the magnetic assembly during typical voice-coil movement within the gap.

• The most powerful amplifier in its class. RCF's improvements in transducer design make RCF's woofers stronger and powerful, so the amplifier follows the evolution. With 1100W RMS power, RCF's Class-D amplifier is able to manage extreme sound-pressure levels, with an ultrafast attack, realistic transient response, and very low heat loss. They are so energy-efficient that there's no need for a cooling fan—the amplifier is attached to a solid aluminum heat exchanger in the rear of the cabinet with no moving parts.
• The stereo input circuit with crossover features a new low-distortion design with an advanced safety limiter, maintaining the true character of the input signal at all levels. RCF amplifiers are designed according to EN62368-1 for maximum safety and have a switched-mode power-supply section, joining high-efficiency with minimum weight.

Tour-Ready Workhorse

The RCF cabinets are made of high-quality multi-ply hardwood coated with a black polyurea finish. The subs are stackable and lightweight for easy setup and teardown, thanks to the ergonomic handles. Pole receptacles on the top and side allow you to use the box in various configurations. The powder coated front grille integrates a special sound-transparent foam backing on the inside to further protect the transducers from dust.
